Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.

Cupping is a safe method of creating a vacuum on the client's skin to dispel stagnation (lymph & old blood), thereby improving the Qi Flow. The pressure from the suction provided by the cupping can help loosens muscles, encourage blood flow and sedate the nervous system. It can leave marks on the skin which varies from person to person. In the case of that, increasing water intake can help facilitate clearance of cupping.
